Activa is a popular scooter in India since its official launch. Honda 2Wheelers is all set to launch an all-new version Activa 6G which will be the replacement for existing Activa 5G. The company has recently released a teaser which confirmes the launch date of upcoming Activa 6G. The all-new model will be introduced in the Indian market on January 15, 2020.

The new model will aim at improving the overall sales of the range. Although, the model is already in huge demand among Indian customers. We are just three months away from the BSVI emission norms to get into impact in April 2020. So, the automotive makers are busy upgrading their best-selling models. To meet the new standards, Activa 6G will be updated with a new BS6 compliant engine and few cosmetic modifications as well.

The new sixth-generation Activa will attract more customers. The company sale approximately 2.5 lakh units every month of Activa models. Activa 125 was the first scooter to receive BSVI update along with Silent Start, ESP (Enhanced Smart Power) and HET. The most interesting part of the upcoming Activa 6G will be the BS6-compliant powertrain which will improve the performance of the scooter.

The Activa 6G is likely to get BS6 109.19cc HET air-cooled engine which will churn out 7.96PS power and 9Nm of torque. The underpinnings and features are not yet disclosed but it can come with fuel injection technology and new idle-stop system. It will also get connectivity features like Bluetooth which will help the riders to play songs, manage calls and access activities by connecting the smartphone.

The upcoming Honda scooter is expected to be integrated with a new all-digital instrument console. It will come with a stylish and trendy look highlighting all-new LED headlamp and LED DRLs at the front. It is designed with new exterior graphics, side body surface with chrome elements and new side turn indicators. The scooter will be outfitted with 12-inch alloy wheels covered by tubeless tyres.

In terms of suspension, it can feature new telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension assembly. The braking duties can be handled by front disc and rear drum brakes highlighting standard CBS (Combi Braking System). Compared to the existing model, the Activa 6G will cost Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000 more
